Anthony Farac Plumbing — Service Engagement Terms
1. Acceptance of Terms
By engaging Anthony Farac Plumbing to perform any service — including quotes, inspections, installations, or repairs — you agree to these terms. These terms supplement, and are read alongside, any specific quote or work order you sign.
2. Licensing and Accreditation
Anthony Farac Plumbing holds current NSW Plumbing Licence and Gas Fitting Licence. We are CM3 accredited (commercial sites) and ARM accredited. Copies of our licences and certificate of currency are available on request before any work begins.
3. Quotes
Free written quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue, subject to site conditions being as represented. Variations discovered on site (pipe condition, access restrictions, asbestos materials, or subsurface obstructions) will be discussed with you before any additional work proceeds.
4. Deposit and Payment
For installations, a deposit (typically 20%) is payable on acceptance of the quote, with the balance due on completion. Smaller service calls are invoiced on completion. Payment terms are 7 days from invoice unless otherwise agreed. We accept bank transfer and credit card (surcharge applies).
5. Scheduling and Access
You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the work site on the scheduled day and to identify any hazards or restrictions (pets, children, shared walls, asbestos materials). Where access cannot be provided, reasonable waiting time may be billed.
6. Standards and Safety
All work complies with Australian plumbing and gas fitting standards, including AS/NZS 3500 (National Plumbing and Drainage Standards), AS 5601 (Gas Installations), and the National Gas Code of Australia. We isolate water or gas supply before working on pressurised lines. For your safety, do not attempt repairs to any plumbing or gas work.
7. Workmanship
Anthony Farac Plumbing stands behind its workmanship. Manufacturer warranties on supplied equipment (hot water systems, tapware, fittings) apply in addition and are passed through to you.
8. Cancellation
You may cancel up to 48 hours before the scheduled start with any deposit refunded in full. Cancellation within 48 hours may incur a reasonable callout fee to cover scheduling and mobilisation. Emergency work cancellations are assessed case-by-case.
9. Insurance and Liability
Anthony Farac Plumbing carries current Public Liability insurance, Workers Compensation, and all required trade insurances. Certificates of currency are available on request. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to re-performing the service or refunding the amount paid for the relevant work. Nothing in these terms excludes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
